Welcome to Marc’s Concert Blog! Here you can view my concert blog archive, which has thousands of photos and scrapbook items from concerts I’ve seen. Please consider making a donation to help with site construction and maintenance.

Here I have assembled a digital archive for the concerts I attended since 1974. I put together the relevant materials for about 400 shows, including most of my ticket stubs, my own concert photos, and certain scrapbook memorabilia.

My Concert Photography is consolidated here in two formats. First, in the blog posts; if I have photos to display for a concert, the post may have single images, photo stacks and/or slideshows. All these posts are listed under Posts with Photos, with sub-headings by band or category. In addition, there are some separate photo galleries for select shows on my Patreon Page.

Focus of Content / Timeframes. From this home page its easy to get a sense of the focus of this Concert Blog. In the 1970s I took a camera to several shows. As the 1980s progresses the blog has fewer posts with photos until the 2010s when the variety and amount of photos expands again.

My comments and other materials connect the entire landscape of shows over four decades and relate various musical items across bands and time.

Navigating the Full Concert Blog. This long-scrolling landing page has a sample portfolio of my concert photos. The core of this site is my Concert Blog which serves as an album or archive for each concert, in the form of blog posts. Many posts, especially for the earlier and more noteworthy concerts, include my comments. Under All Concert Posts in main navigation, the dropdown list shows posts chronologically by years. The navigation area is at the upper left and also groups posts for viewing by band and by musical categories.

Bands and Categories in Posts Here. A wide variety of bands and musicians are covered here. Some “core” bands - favorites like Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Grateful Dead, Hot Tuna, Bruce Hornsby and Trey Anastasio Band - are set up as categories under Posts Sorted by Band. This option shows all posts for that band in a continuous stack. Posts with Photos also sorts by band, but the list includes only bands for which there’s a good amount of photos posted. These stacks don’t scroll endlessly so if there are numerous posts in a stack, a “next” click may be involved to see more of the posts in a group. After clicking next, return to a selected category any time via main navigation at left.

Ticket Stubs and Memorabilia. If I still have one I posted a copy of my ticket stub inside the relevant post. Select stubs are also displayed in two galleries, and all stubs are in my list of shows under Concert List / Ticket Stubs. Any other materials tie in to my commentary or add background.
